Hi

I noticed that this isn't in use. When added to links it informs google not to consider the link in the page rank, and can be very effective in reducing the incentive to spam. Might be worth turning on for links in sigs/posts etc

Yes, but it also unfairly penalises links to useful websites which we are quite happy to pass on our Google Juice to.

Best way to deal with spam is to delete it. We're pretty good at that.

Spammers aren't only ever after page rank - they typically just want people to click on the link and visit the site. Nofollow doesn't stop that. Deleting the spam does.
