Notice of Valuation - land tax

Hi, I have just received a Notice of Valuation on a property (house) I have settled on in Aug 2014. I had moved from my only other property (a unit) at the of settlement and remain living in the house.

Seeing that the new house is my PPOR, I believe i should be exempted.

As i have received the Notice of Valuation - Do i need to do anything in the meantime to gain the exemption?

Many thanks!

quick phonecall to the state revenue office should clarify that they have placed the PPOR exemption against the correct property.

Receiving a Ntce of valuation doesn't mean its land tax. ALL properties are revalued and a notice issued from time to time. Its also basis for council rates.

IF you are reg for land tax then advise OSR of the change using the relevant form. If not registered the ignore.
