Offer submitted without expiry time - HELP!

Hi all,

I made a private bid (signed contract) on a property without specifying a time limit on the offer. It now seems that either the vendors or REA are sitting on it.

I've emailed the agent mentioning that I would like to add an expiry clause to my offer if no response is received by 4pm Friday.

Is this adequate enough? What other steps do I need to take to ensure that I’m not indefinitely waiting?

Just email them saying you withdraw your offer by X time on Y date. That is sufficient.

just email them and withdraw the offer. I bet you get a call from the agent within 5 minutes.

agree with above ppl. email them and withdraw the offer if not signed or countered in writing by the seller.
