Opera v Explorer

I just downloaded a new internet browser called 'Opera' because I was having issues with Internet Explorer, and it's fantastic! Clever little features like a 'speed dial' homepage that you can set your top 9 pages in and just click to the one you want. Just now I accidently shut the whole program down instead of just the window I wanted to shut and guess what? When I re-opened the program, it remembered all 4 windows ('tabs') I had open in the last session and went straight back to them. Which was handy, cos I was on the fourth page of a french property search and that meant I didn't have to go back and set all my search parameters again!

Anyway, I'm not much of a computer person, but I think it's cool and wanted to share incase anyone else wants to try it (it's free) :)

Yep that browser has been around for years.

I havent used IE for years either.

I prefer Mozilla Firefox. Its a lot faster and has options same as opera.

I also use Mozilla Thunderbird for my email client....both are excellent and far superior to IE in my opinion.

......and they're also free!

Hmmm this could be a major deterrent for some people (not me of course). I can see allot of hubby's getting busted for looking at porn when the wife opens the browser back up and finds what he's been viewing.:D

Or would continue to use IE ... while his wife used Mozilla!

I'm a fan of Mozilla and have about 16 quick links in the toolbar ...

Every now and then I have to use IE for work purposes, and it drives me nuts!

Any smart hubby wouldn't have his wife using the same PC, or at least not the same Windows login.

Any smart husband.. at least these days, would ensure his wife KNEW he liked looking at porn on the internet from day one and made she didn't have a problem with it :) There's nothing wrong with it :)

Dunc, that being the case, any great porn links to share? ;)

I assume it's free but Mac's Safari has been ported to windows. It's OK too but I use Firefox mostly.

I still use IE on my winbox but I never surf on that puter. Just banks & brokers etc.

So I use three browsers, master of none. :)

I think what she might have been buying online with hubby's credit card would be of more concern than what porn she'd been looking at...

been using firefox as my default browser for years, although being in the web deisng industry i need to use IE as well. IE7 is a huge improvement over other IE versions including tabs and actually rendering CSS properly. The downside of IE is that when using flash you need to click once to activate the flash before it will let you interact with it - sucks!
