today I had a bizarre day. In 20+ years never seen this. Tax client asking for their GST refunds told cheques in mail But seems someone has credited 300k to their tax account over several weeks. I spent hour or more pleading with Ato not to pay the refund after weeks of chasing it...I wish they paid our fees for being honest. Unfortunate that they will now hold the refund longer... SIX MONTHS AND COUNTING FOR $70k. Does it pay to be honest?

Hi Paul, I know your question was rhetorical, but for the benefit of all forum members... it pays to be honest. Dishonesty always comes back to bite you in the bum. Not necessarily directly, but it always does. Trust me, I learned this the hard way from being rather dishonest in my youth, as much as I don't like to admit it.
I'm not a spiritual person in any sense of the word, but I do believe in one thing that could be considered spiritual. Whatever we put out in the world comes back to us ten times over.
