Owner Builder building insurance - recommendation?

Hi there,

I've been looking for owner builder building insurances & found a lack of information (as most of the larger insurers don't offer such products)... Can anyone recommend an insurance for owner building? (ie. typical cover you would need while building = theft, damages, vandalism, fire, public liability insurance, workcover cover in case of un-insured trade person getting injured, etc.)... Any information would be greatly appreciated...

QBE, Vero and CGU offer builders warranty insurance in Victoria so they may offer owner builders a product as well. I would speak to an insurance broker. I just googled it and found one website Owner-Builder.com.au which supplies owner builder warranty insurance; I'm sure there are more.

all the large insurers offer it, but through brokers. nothing too hard about it, they just choose to distribute through brokers who specialise in it. perhaps try some of these.
