rapidly rising house insurance costs

Received a renewal invitation today. Same house, same insurer. Premium has doubled in three years, and 50% increase since last year!!

Are others seeing the same?

I phoned & asked, was told that the fire services levy was a factor.

Here in WA there is already a fire services levy included with the council rates. I'm unsure if I was given a reasonable explanation.

The increases are like that in QLD as well, we are all paying for the natural disasters.
