Rise & Fall of Dr Geoffrey Eddelsten

Which gets me wondering ...

Why do we treat Wikipedia as a factual Encyclopaedia when it is written by the likes of you and me?

Wikipedia is actually largely written by computer algorithms, referencing and pulling content from other sites. It's very clever, one individual is credited with the bulk of the work.

Who would have thought that living like a millionaire for a few years including gifts and cash for a girl with no qualifications or experience in anything in life except shopping, wouldnt have been enough........

Will be the biggest payday of her life, a few years married to a prune and she gets more money then she could earn in a life time

I think Bryne dressed and acted like a bimbo, essentially playing a role. Listen to some of what she says though, observe what she does. There's clearly an intelligent, calculating mind behind those boobs.

yeah, the intelligent mind behind those boobs is called geoffrey........well not anymore,

shes got her claws into another rich guy now

For whatever shortcomings he may have, he was certainly ahead of his time. Bulk Billed, walk in, late hours GP clinics only became mainstream a long time after he made an empire out of the idea.

I think what people forget in the relationships where one is an older very wealthy person, and the other a young attractive seemingly-nothing, is that they both know exactly what they are getting from the relationship.

The older person gets a companion that is nice to look at and fun to have around them from a social perspective, and the younger person gets the lifestyle that they think matches their looks.

Make no mistake, the wealthy older person is normally very intelligent and knows the score exactly, as far as the expectations of the relationship goes.

then how do you explain ashton kutcher and demi moore, both attractive and wealthy but one signifcantly older than the other?

or george clooney and his new wife, both attractive and wealthy but significant age gap

They are all attractive and wealthy people.... I fail to see the comparison to a rich older person marrying a younger person with little to no wealth?

What I am getting at is whenever a rich old man marries some young bimbo, everyone carries on about how ridiculous and stupid the old man is as though they are oblivious to it and everyone else is so smart to spot it.

Meanwhile most of these older wealthy people are highly intelligent million/billionaires, I think they are very aware of what their relationship is but don't really care. They have a companion who is attractive and young, who most likely encourages them to live a little more on the wild side rather than drink $10 000 scotch at home alone.

I just don't understand why everyone seems to carry on about it so much...

its because its no different to prostitution, and yet every party involved in it carries on like its "puppy love" or "true love"

or how she loves him for his wonderful personality, while he loves her for her IQ

if he came out and said "I am marrying her because I am rich and I want a silicon bimbo hanging off me to stroke my ego, while she is marrying me cos im filthy rich and most likely will die soon"
then noone will be talking/complaining/mocking them

I wonder how many millions do you need to be qualified to make such a statement and have silicon bimbo.

I don't think money comes into it not when you get too that level, but you gotta give it too him he love the Ladies, you go for a walk around the gold coast any day and see the same thing and most would have a back-up "Viagra"in the back pocket..

I don't judge as critically.

Its his life, his money.
Others entering the situation are adults and are accountable for their own decisions.

Bit of an eye opener .

He's fallen into the trap that many medico's fall into when it comes to investing in areas outside medicine. Because they're good at one thing , they think they'll be good at everything they try , forgetting the time and effort that it took to make their money in the first .

Though in reality , the same applies to anyone who is successful .

On this forum there are several people who made lots of money in the last cycle only to come unstuck when they tried to replicate that success in other areas .

That's one of the reasons why I like the putting all you eggs in one basket approach and watching closely approach , but if you go into something else , make sure you really understand it . I'm still debating whether I have another go at the share market . Know much of the theory , but haven't been able to successfully put it into practice , though it's one area where you can dip your toes into the water
