Sales Price Increase - New forms required ?

I have asked my sales agent to increase the advertised sale price of my property. He seems to think I need to fill out a new appointment to act form because of this change in price. Is this so ? Or can this simply be specified and agreed to, in an email request.

The current appointment to sell form already specifies a fixed commission amount, but also the standard 5% on the first $18000 and 2.5% on the balance.

I fail to see why I should have to sign another form.
