Probably because if you saw it you would probably contest it as being superficial and shoddy - and then their workload goes up again trying to put you off! Far easier to say "This is the valuation and it stands" and then not give you any details.
 
it's evident from the responses that some lenders are happy to provide the information whereas others systematically withhold it. I feel the information should be on the table for the purchaser to see if they wish.
 
I was able to obtain recent valuation figures (and believe can get a copy of the report) from mortgage broker who said ANZ is liberal with this information. :)
