Selling a garage on my land

Hi everyone,

I have an old large metal garage that will need to be demolished to clear the land for a development I'm undertaking.

I was simply going to throw it out, but then I wondered if there was any way to make some cash out of it.

Is it legal to advertise it for sale, subject to anyone who is interested coming on site and removing it themselves? Would there be any legal issues with this - say if they injured themselves doing this?

If that's not possible, any other suggestions? Sell it for scrap?

You'd probably find plenty of these on Gumtree - just like remove the kitchen, pull out windows etc. As per the workers compensation thread, if it is your PPOR & you have domestic workers compensation insurance you are probably more than covered. If you're concerned, contact your insurer to clarify.

Yeah, sell it on Gumtree and/or eBay but stipulate that the buyer must remove it and not leave a mess.

Even if if someone buys it for a dollar you get a free garage removal but, depending on the condition, people pay stupid amounts of money for stuff like this.
