Selling to tenant

Hi

The tenant in my IP in Vic has indicated that they would like to buy our property if we are ever going to sell.

My question is do we need to pay the property management company a commission if we were to sell. My idea is to deal directly with the tenant throughout the selling process without engaging a selling agent.

Check your management agreement to ensure it doesn't include introducing buyers to the property.

I would be very surprised if there was anything in the management agreement about this. I think you would be ok to deal directly with the tenant. As Lil Skater said, double check to agreement just to be sure.
