so what u guys are saying is there is no difference to how the website can look whether i use windows or linux hosting. Ie, a website's graphics, setup and appearance could be done by either win or linux? is my assumption correct?

Correct, apart from the setup bit.

Assuming you're using straight HTML, then either Linux or Windows will do. Assuming they support Front Page of course, as it seems you've gone down that route.

If you were using some sort of scripting language or database, then you'd go with the suggestions already provided.
