Social Group for Brisbane Property Investors

Hi all,
We are relatively new the world of property investing & are looking to join an "Investment Property social club" or something like that, in order to meet likeminded people in Brisbane. I did a search in this forum & came across BIG (Better Investment Group) & was wondering if this would be a good place to start? Are there any other Investment Property Social Groups/Clubs in Brisbane?
Thanks

I went to the last BIG meeting...the speaker was good and informative but I didn't get a chance to network as it seems everyone knows each other and the few people I did speak to don't even post on Somersoft. I was hoping to meet other Somersoft members.

It's also not child friendly which would excluded people with kids.

If anyone wants to organise a Somersoft meet on a Saturday day time that would be fantatsic.

haven't been to BIG - but agree with the need to have something on the northside - there are a fair few of us here and it would be good to meet and greet.

anyone good at organising something - even just a coffee night (or day??) or drinks or something...i can't organise a storm in a tea cup - i'm sure there is someone with a clue here though!!??

cheers

I have been trying to attend a BIG since moving up here, been too hard to get all "my ducks lined up" to be able to attend.

If a gathering was organised on a weekend - especially kid friendly - count me in! I reckon it would be fantastic.

I would be happy to organise a get together up this way - but I am probably the minority so we would be happy to travel to Brissy.

bbq picnic in the roma street parklands??? or somewhere similar??? that would be fair for southsiders who wanted to come along!!??!?!?!

alternatively for northsiders and those from up the coast there are a multitude of suitable places from Kalinga Park at clayfield, right up through to Scarborough etc...plenty of parks with facilities etc.

BBQ picnic in Roma Street sounds like a great idea. How does that work for the north siders or the Sunshine coasters?

What about on a SUnday as Saturdays (for us anyway) are normally spent doing the open homes. How about meeting at 11am - to give everyone a chance to travel - and then we can start cooking for lunch.

Im happy to do any organising - be a phone contact, make up name badges? with real names and Somersoft tag names - or is that dumb? And anything else.

Shall I throw some dates out there - NOvember 11th - (2 weeks away so arrangements can be made) or 18th.

What do you think?

Hi Shona,
BBQ picnic in Roma Street sounds great....and either dates (November 11th or 18th) works well for us. Count us in!
Regards

Neither date is good for us, but I would certainly like to participate if there are to be future BBQs. Hope you all have a great day!!! And please let me know when the next one is. :)

Cheers

Brisbane meetings

Hi! I'm active in a number of forums but haven't dropped in to Somersoft before, so please be gentle with me :D

I saw this thread and wanted to let the ladies (sorry guys!) know about a Brisbane group that I'm involved with that I just love, "Wealth Inspiration Circle". This is, of course, not a profit-making venture but a ladies-only social/networking group. We meet fortnightly on Saturday mornings, presently at a coffee shop in Woolloongabba. See www.brisbanewic.com for more details.

A get-together sounds great, but I'd prefer something involving just investors rather than partners and kids as well. I have trouble getting my hubby to socialise with friends he already has, without trying to entice him to make new friends! ;)

If anybody's interested in getting together for coffee on a weekday evening, I'd be up for that.

Northside meeting

Northside sounds good to me too. Count me in, and please let me know when and where.
As to the Roma park BBQ, can't do it on the 11th , but 18th will be OK.

Cheers,
GMG

Did anything get organised regarding this? I'm interested in getting together with property investors in North Brisbane. I live in Aspley.

Anyone still interested?
