Solar Electricity

My solar system was connected to the grid six days ago - and I haven't seen the sun since! Looking forward to a clear sunny day to see what it can actually do.

Well done for going solar jrc77. Depending on what panels you have and if there is any shading you will do about 3.8 Kilowatt hours per Kw of system on average throughout the year.

Therefore say if your system size is 2Kw and you get no shading from trees your system would produce;

2Kw x 3.8Kwh x 365 = 2774 Kw hours per year x 60 cents = $1664

If you swap your retailer to AGL they will pay you another 8 cents on top of the 60 cents. To do this (only if you want to) ring 1300 132 707. Ask for the 7% discount on your consumption charge aswell.

Cheers, Charlie
