Centred around a lake which collects and then purifies rain water, the Lilypad will drift around the world following the ocean currents and streams.

so lets see, how does it fare in a storm at sea? i can't imagine this..."thing" surviving the roaring forties too well - imagine the salt contamination of the fresh water collector?

imagine trying to get those plants to live being smashed by salty wind all day?

There's be a bit of a problem if it ran aground or sank. It would be hard to evacuate 50,000 people with only 3 marinas.

I have this picture in my head of zillions of rats over-flowing the side of a ship into the sea, that is sinking/on fire.

Imagine now the same scene with humans; first it will be the land masses that will overflow due to population growth, then they'll move out to the floating death camps and overflow those.
