Sprung

For those nfortunate enough not to have been in the chatroom last night, I got seriously sprung.

My job was to clean up the kitchen, while MrsW took the kidlings shopping.

Instead, I went intoi the chatroom for (quite) a while.

I heard the MrsWMobile a fair distance away. I posted a message into the chatroom to the effect that, "MrsW is coming back. I have to go to clean up, so that she doesn't think I've been on the Internet all this time"

But I left the message on screen in my rush to clean up.

12yo W came home- and straight to the computer to play her game.

My message about cleaning up was still there.

She burst out laughing, and called her mother to read the incriminating message.

I now have lots of dirt on face and favours to pay back,

Well that will teach you geoffw ... you really need to learn how not to get caught

Next time, remember to close the window and reopen when you wander off, it will clear the screen!!!

I've had to pay suitable penance.

I was up until the wee hours of the morning retouching pictures of my wife's family so that she could send off a big family montage of three generations of her family.

The most difficult one was one of her mother, a fifty year old picture, small and damaged. Not a bad job, if I do say so myself.

But three hours to make my mother in law look good- that was appropriate punishment.

Actually, Asy, My mother in law is quite nice. Really.

I bought her a nice armchair last Christrmas.

My wife wouldn't let me plug it in.
