A quick read and as a looking to buy 1st IP investor, that article frightened me. From my perspective the facts in the article say, ... negative content masked by positive headline.
The big sales (2mill+) going against the expected trend is a different market to the average 'easily rentable' house / apartment.
I beleive the market must be set for a big bust if, with rates so low, some area's of the market are finding room to level out and even drop - although inner city apartments make up a lot of these, the flow effects should not be ignored.
I can't imagine what would be happening now if there was talk of rates rising! ...
