Okay - time for another social gathering in Sydney.

Just wanted some feedback - I had a few people last time mention difficulties making an event if it was not at a family-friendly venue, so I figured we should have both types.

I would like some to know people's preferences before scheduling a family-friendly event.

Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

In previous years, we have done:

- picnic lunch at Centennial Park (BBQ facilities)
- picnic lunch at Putney Park (playground)

Other ideas I've had are:

- picnic lunch at Lane Cove National Park ($7 entry fee per vehicle), where we can book out an entire picnic area, it's a central location and easy to get to - http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/NationalParks/parkHome.aspx?id=N0083
- dinner at a family friendly restaurant (eg GPK - http://www.gotogpk.com.au/ ) ... only problem is that it can get quite noisy

Thoughts ?

Hi Sim

It seems there are several threads atm talking of a Sydney Investor meetup.

It would be nice if we could join forces and get a Xmas drink organised for forum members.

Feel free to send me a PM if you want my input. Perky is also keen to get something happening.

For the record, I personally would prefer a child free event one evening, probably in a pub or club, so I can slurp champagne.

Cheers
