I already have some IPs are in Brisbane, but I'm looking at branching out, and I'm now considering a newly constructed 2BR unit in Bundock St, Belgian Gardens. The numbers make sense and the location looks decent on the map, but I don't know Townsville very well so I'd appreciate some input from people with local knowledge. This is a buy and hold, and I'm especially interested in the medium to long-term prospects from both rentals and capital growth aspects. Is a unit in the area a decent idea, or are there better options to be had in regional Queensland?
