I'm pretty sure jodes92 was referring to the solicitor - who is her agent - not the real estate agent.
I thought not, as the REA was the only one to have received (via email) jodes92 's intention not to proceed.

Oh, OK, I'll shut up then.I thought not, as the REA was the only one to have received (via email) jodes92 's intention not to proceed.
Yep- the soli only tried to contact me after 5.
And I was referring to the real estate agent, who isn't mine... But thanks for trying to protect me
I guess what I can conclude/ learn from this whole debacle is:
1. Just go ahead with the purchase. Given the property is pretty close to cash neutral it's probably my cheapest option
2. Dont use these solicitors again and try to get put of paying fees
3. Remember how to rescind a contract properly in the future!
Hi Everyone,
By way of update, it seems the vendor is not proceeding with the purchase. I am out of contract now and only lose my 0.25%. Yay!
Thanks for everyone's comments and help
