Hi guys;
Does anyone know any good valuers and accountants with specialist knowledge of ip and shares in the Geelong area in Victoria. Would also like to find someone in the area that can help me set up a self managed superannuation plan.

There was a guy that posted on here for a short time a while ago that worked for accountants that had offices in Geelong, but he disappeared.
I reckon your best bet is to hook up with Dale Gatherum-Goss. Although he is on the other side of Melbourne, he is definitely worth taking the time to go and see. He's the kind of accountant that I would actually fly to come see, he's that good.
Not that I need to, living in Melbourne. You don't really need someone close by, the internet and email are an excellent way of keeping in touch with those people on your team if they are inaccessible to you. I pretty much keep my contact with Dale exclusive to email these days, it is much easier than spending two hours on public transport to go out to Kilsyth to see him, not that that's a problem, it's always great to have informal chats with a guy like Dale.
So don't limit yourself to the local area only. You'll just be shooting yourself in the foot if you do that. Oh, by the way, Dale's website is http://www.gatherumgoss.com. Good luck!
