[wa] $2000 rebate for 1st homebuyers question

Hello,

Just trying to help a friend out and I can't find out details on whether the 2k applies to people building from the ground up ie house and land purchase.

Their agent has said they will get the 2k... another agent who a friend purchased off just recently said "only applies if the house is up already"
... and i can't find anything on the web to say yay or nay.

the $2k is a REBA rebate for homes under a certain value.

what am i trying to figure out is whether it can be a completely new ie house and land package.

The current criteria for a grant are:

applicants must be buying their first home, which is established or partially built (not vacant land, a plan or a 'house and land' package)

according to 2 agents... there are different rules now and you CAN claim the 2k..

so... therelies my confusion

i wouldn't trust an agent as far as i can throw them.

the website clearly indicates what is and isn't allowed.
