Didn't know where to post this, just had to celebrate we FINALLY have a completion date for our IP (Feb 14th). YAY!!!

ROFLMAO!!!!
It is only 12 months after the original completion date we were told when signing contracts.

But now there is an end in sight.

Hehe we were told 9-10 months, which is Jan-Feb next year. Our builder is still on track, since they are currently telling us council approval + 12 weeks and it has been in the council inbox 4 weeks now so in theory it is either approved any day now or already approved and they haven't told us yet.

Aren't builders a shockingly slow bunch? And what have yours been DOING with that extra 12 months!?!

To be fair, alot of our time delay problems were with the land developer (new estate) getting delayed for various reasons (rain, etc, etc) rather then the builder. I was hoping that the builder would be completed before christmas, but the building company take a break over December and January where nothing is done. Oh well, at least we aren't paying any mortgage or anything until it is completed - feel sorry for those who have had to use progressive draw down payments to fund the build.
