Moving states a few times with school-aged kids

It's kind of a selfish need. I'm from Qld, been living in WA for 11 years. Badly miss my family. Had serious health issues last year and health still being reviewed. I'm unsure if I'm even allowed to fly at present. Their will be some familiarity in Qld as I have friends and family with...

Moving states a few times with school-aged kids

So who one? :D I'd love to hear your homeschool experiences also. I heard some fantastic stories from a lady who would travel around Aus for a year at a time and homeschool. She Was a school teacher though, so she had an advantage.

Moving states a few times with school-aged kids

I'm interested to learn about peoples experiences who while growing up moved states a few times with their parents or who are parents that have moved around with their kids. Was it a positive or negative experience? Experiences gained or lost? I've met a couple of people who travelled...

where is the bargains in Perth

How do I go about getting life/accident insurance? How do you keep will up to date - do you see a solicitor every time you change it? If your assets are constantly changing, do you need to keep changing it or do you use clauses to cover all assets?

When buying an older-style IP, do you?

I agree with this option. It atracts better tenants and if they're happy, they won't be bothering you.

What would you do if you didn't have to work???

That's a good reply RPI. It sounds similar to what I want out of investing.

Property runs on emotion, which suburb & state will be going up/down next?

I'm thinking Bris is the big "emotion" at the moment.

Property runs on emotion, which suburb & state will be going up/down next?

I believe property runs on emotion. If a lot of people think a suburb will go up, it will. All over Aus, what are your views? Thanks.

Self Managers - Why don't we lobby Red Direct to put our rental adverts on the net?

Yer, I know what you're saying Wylie and I also find it frustrating that I can't advertise via realestate.com. I took a look at the above site I mentioned and it looks like they are operating in WA only (WA based) then possibly going to other states. It's a new company, hence why it's free to...

Self Managers - Why don't we lobby Red Direct to put our rental adverts on the net?

Hi Wylie, take a look at this website. I am not associated with service, but found out about it a few weeks ago. They are currently offering a free service and in future are charging $20 for 4 wks advert. You can include 4 pictures on your ad also of your property. www.psire.com.au
