Haha you would think that. Long story short. Plans complied, one neighbor agitated as they were quite contemporary, planning dept assessed they complied but then ended up being voted on by council, who knocked it back. Appealed at VCAT and won. In Bendigo.

If getting a DA dont be surprised if you end up having to appeal the council decision through VCAT or similar...

I've sold a place with DA. My circumstances were that I had left the state so no longer wanted to build as one of the dwellings was going to be a PPOR. To get the DA I had to solve most of the issues you raised around connecting to services etc.

Off to see a builder today that builds with Rapid Wall which may be one solution to the construction.

Im very interested to see how that will be approved on the Sunny Coast. Be aware that Noosa is breaking away from the Sunshine Coast Council and development such as that proposed may be knocked on the head even if its possible now which from my research it isnt. Hopefully Im wrong ;)

Thanks - the Apricus system seems to pop up the most in my research too. House is on the Sunny Coast so cold like I was in China isn't the issue. Just looking at spending $ once and well to minimise running costs over the long run. Appreciate the input to date.
