My brother and I are looking at apartments in the inner city suburbs of Brisbane and would like to not go over $500K. We could perhaps stretch it out 5% maximum, provided no renovations are required. Would prefer two bedroom apartments with a view to rent out in a few years.
I like the idea of an older style art-deco place in a small block of apartments/split house rather than these newly designed apartments, which I think lack a lot of character and are cheaply built. Any further comments?
Any suggestions of solid blue chip performing suburbs that will continue decent growth? Definitely no more than a 5km radius. 2-3kms is preferable. How extreme are rates and body corp fees, and what is a sinking fund?
