Hi All

What should I expect to pay an accountant to do my tax last financial year?

Went to an accountancy firm this time instead of tax accountants and the fees increased markedly. Three (3) IP's and all work claims organised and calculated by me before visit. Had depreciation reports done for first time though. Cost me about $600>

What do members pay for their respective situations?

Do any members use the mainstream tax accountants or is the money for a qualified accountant worth it when dealing with IP's? Your thoughts are appreciated.

unless you know the tax law your self, scrimping on an accountant is probably not the best way to save yourself a few bucks.

There are great accountants on this board who know particularly about property and tax and will help you return many times the small amount of change that you would have saved on a tax agent or similar.

At the end of the day, it's all just a bunch of numbers so don't restrict yourself to the local area. there are great accountants everywhere.
