living in inner-ish newcastle i "see" andrew johns quite regularly (supermarket, paper shop, beach). he is genuinely a nice guy, who loves his son and who found himself living in a fishbowl at aged 18 - something i would imagine every 18 yr old would have problems with.
after admitting to the drug taking a few weeks back, he appeared very contrite and ashamed, when we saw him trying to get some alone time down at the beach, surfing (with two news helicoptor buzzing overhead trying to get photos of him).
but that cousins guy! total denial, arrogance and not contrite in the slightest. hope he gets the book thrown at him. the first step to rehab is admitting the problem - don't think rehab will help this guy.
