Areas to avoid in Chermside

Looking at a property in Chermside and being in Perth don't know the area that well. Just looking for guidance on areas to avoid (if there are any)

Hi, As Zimby suggests maybe just avoid main roads. Most of Chermside is fine. IMO to be picky - East of Gympie Rd, closer to Wavell Heights is best. Lot of units/apartments near Chermside Shopping centre. Chermside shopping centre has a large bus station for commuting to city. Cheers, nat

You want somewhere that's within walking distance to an express bus stop - some stops are on the main road but only served by the slower bus routes.

Had a walk round there earlier this year. Very handy spot. Mix of houses and older flats.

A weird thing in that area is that footpaths often turn to grass or dirt half way along the street - some houses have pavements in front of them but the neighbouring house might not.
