asbestos removal

has anyone had any asbestos removed and any idea of the cost involved as approx idea, waiting to be contacted back by a removal company for a quote but have not rang me back. Attending a auction tomorrow with no idea of what to expect with the price. Its a old gargage / shed approx 2 - 3 cars could fit in there as an idea of size.

Just to give you a guide, I had my roof done on PPOR (note: in Adelaide) late 2004, approx 120 Sqm. Cost was a little under $4000, lock stock and barrel. The colourbond roof (with blanket insulation), gutters & downpipes were a whisker under $12000.

i didn't ended getting the property outbided by 2 FHB, who probaby over paid by $30K plus, thanks for those figures, I don't know if the new owners had factered those numbers in as well.

just had some internal asbestos removed (kitchen and bathroom ceilings).

the price was $33/m2 (incl gst) with a minimum charge of 25m2 ... so cost will be around the $800.

I had a guy in melbourne quote me about $20/m2 plus 150 inspection fee and certificate by some authority
