Assessing Property Document?

I have received a book regarding a commercial property we are looking at. It contains information on the property, titles, leases, income, expenses etc.

Who is the best person to review this for us - a lawyer? Or a property adviser?

Never bought commercial before so are very wary - any advice greatly appreciated thanks!

Hi Melissa

I am going through my first commercial "venture" at the moment and have gotten the help of a commercial conveyancer/lawyer.

They have been a godsend. They will go through the contract, help me with relelvant clauses (subject to...) and also go through the leases.

There is so much that I wasn't aware of. Even though they are more expensive than resi conveyancers, it definately pays to have someone with experience helping you through it.

cheers
