B&P inspection for Villa/townhouse necessary?

Hi as per the title are building and pest inspection necessary for those relatively new villa or townhouse?

Sorry if the question was asked many times before but i couldnt find any with the search option thx

I don't bother.

Get a strata report though. Last place I nearly bought had termite damage and was attracting a special levy to pay for it. Any issues arising should be in the strata report.
