Why are you considering Basin Pocket as an area to invest?

Is it price point?
What are key drivers for growth? Jobs? Population growth? Infrastructure?

Ipswich bounced early 2000s with massive price growth, sold off during GFC & recovering recently.

You will get better growth investing closer to Brisbane than in Ipswich

Ipswich has a history of being a lot more fickle than Brisbane, with ups and downs following the economic cycle. People have been saying it will be Brisbane's Parramatta for 20 years.

but there hasnt been any greenfield development acreage between Syd and parra for 40 + years.

In addition, IPS central and surrounds has lots of infill development to boot.

Spot on Rolf. I have quoted on land subs out there in the thousands this year and multiple thereof.

Keep saving up mate - don't just buy because it's affordable buy something where the fundamentals are strong

sure, I can fully see the appeal for the lower priced stock

mid to late 2s will get some decent stuff around logan and beenleigh which appears to have better growth chances
