Bathroom Reno - Honed Bluestone Tiles

I personally love the look and feel of a dark, honed bluestone tile (like this)

Has anyone used this in wet areas, particularly shower bases/walls? I'm thinking of using it, but can't find much on the internet about its suitability in constantly wet areas.

Understand the need for proper sealing (before and after laying them), but how do they actually endure after all that?

Thanks!

We have them in our front verandah where sections of them are exposed to the weather and 3 years on they have been great.

They came presealed but we gave them an additional two coats after being laid - more for sealing in the grout.

My only advise would be to ensure that you find an expert tiler who has laid them before and is able to give recent references.

We had several tilers come and refuse the job (one was a television persoanlity who had laid them in a show - go figure).
