Body Corporate and Community Management Amendment Act 2011

We have purchased off the plan in Townsville and recently received a letter from our lawyers attached to a Further Statement.
In general the Further Statement appears to be about insurance (ouch) and easements.
Our lawyer has written this para:
We note that under recent legislative changes, a Buyer may be able to terminate under the Body Corporate and Community Management Amendment Act 2011 on the basis of the Further Statement if the Buyer can show that they would be materially prejudiced by the changes.

They they offer to review the document for a fee.

Is there any advice on what the Amendment Act 2011 changes mean and how they might destroy a contract?
Thanks
