'Branded' icons in Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar

My curiosity has been tweaked. Does anyone know why some of my buttons on the firefox bookmark toolbar have their icons while others do not (Westpac being one that does ... somersoft one that doesn't)?

I am sure it will have something to do with the pages bookmarked, ie no image associated with the title???

It's Ok, I have found out.

If a site has a file called favicon.ico on their server, the browser will retrieve this and use it for things like bookmarks (or favourites for those silly enough to be still using IE )
