Brisbane monthly lunch

OK, after getting a few responses, here's my proposal:

When: Monthly, second Thursday of the month (first: 8th May), 12:30pm
Where: The Street Cafe, Regatta Hotel, Toowong
What: lunch if you want, or just coffee, and chat

I don't plan on getting guest speakers or anything - this would purely be an opportunity to socialise with other property investors, discuss your current or planned projects, tap into the expertise of other investors, exchange news and views, etc.

What about the people that have jobs?

All the people who replied to my open invitation for suggestions were either full-time investors, have Thursday off, or were able to get away for from work for a lunchtime meeting. Were you interested in coming, or is this a rhetorical question?

If there are a lot of interested people who can't make Thursday lunchtimes, feel free to let me know. We could either consider changing it, or perhaps we could arrange to swap between day and evening meetings each month.

Anybody else who's interested who can only come evenings or weekends?

Of course I was interested, that's why I asked! I've actually asked you a few times about meetings and I'm not available during the week. I've would have thought the most logical thing would be to do it at a time when most people are available. The times I organised a handful of meetings were to accomodate everyone.

I'll try and make it as long as you don't mind a sweaty fat Ass3d balding lilly white boomer in lycra so tight it forms wrinkles in his sub cutaneous adipose reservoirs....(got a good visual?)

just so you recognise me when I roll up here's me on the last project, somewhere transcendentally tranquil...

I have a few consulting commitments around then, but will see how we go.

Friday lunches might be more relaxed for younger folk ..... though what can you learn off the young huh? Besides Fridays can be dangerous....I remember back in the 70s having to go to about 10 pubs in Brisbane cbd most Friday lunches looking for my boss to get him back to work......things were more interesting before mobiles.

Should we make this a laptop lunch as well? so we can show pics?

Was amazed to see about half a dozen people taking notes on their laptops the other weekend at the John Edwards and Bill Zhang seminar......suppose it makes a lot of sense.
