Colorbond Roof

Hi all,

We (body corporate) are thinking of installing a Colorbond roof over our existing flat concrete roof with parapet walls.

Question is, do we need ventilation and insulation?

Would the gap between the old concrete roof and the new metal roof be enough to cut down noise from raindrops? Or is it worth investing in insulation and whirly birds and such?

Very hard to tell without seeing what is already there, i'd be talking to a builder.

The engineer consultant we hired suggest we do need ventilation and insulation...so we'll be installing some!
