Concrete stencils?

Hi there,

We have a rather old (20 years?) patio that is just plain concrete and looks old and boring, we'd really like to spice it up to look more inviting, more part of the house if you know what I mean. I've spoken to a concretor and exposed aggregate is out of the picture because the slab needs to be re-pored. And stencilling requires at least 75mm of room to lay over existing which is a bit too high for our doors and things.

So, what options do we have left? I can only think of stencilling where you buy the stencils and paint over the top, but not sure if this would look 100%

Any thoughts?

Spray on paving can be quite good, you can get many designs and couloirs and different textures too.
It does not even have to be spray on, it can be troweled on for a different finish.
I would not try DIY though, it's not easy if not experienced.
