I'd rather NOT see a reminder of the offending thread. It would tend to provoke either a thread of why it was deleted or encourage the offenders to continue their low signal/noise 'discussion'.

And thanks to the mods for deleting without trace a recent thread.

It depends on what the thread was and how it was deleted.

Sorry that doesn't really explain things, but sometimes there is and sometimes there isn't.
