draft proofing

I have a timber frame house with timber weatherboard external cladding and horizontal match board cladding internally. Both have 5 mm gaps in the cladding. This may be fine in Qld but it is in South Australia and a bit breezy.
The internal matchboard is a bit of a feature and I did not want to cover it up.

What is the best solution to stop drafts. Remove internal matchboard and put in sisalation? Remove matchboard and put in gyprock / other sheeting then glue matchboard back.

It is a lot easier to remove internal cladding than external weatherboard.

isn't there a system out there that injects some sort of foam or cellulose fibre into the cavity? I know they use cellulose in roofs as insulation, it's very messy especially if you need to get up in the roof.

I would avoid where possible removing and reattaching cladding etc. You may have issues with asbestos, and you may find other problems that need fixing I find that whern you think something is easy it ends up snowballing...

Maybe someone else can offer something insightful from their experiences.
