Just wanted to see if anyone has any information or advice on the "Gordon Estate" in Dubbo?
It sounds like this area is going through some radical changes with all the housing commission families being re-located to various other areas. Most of the really bad housing has been demolished and the houses are being sold off 6 at a time. New buyers have to sign a contract to remain living in the house for 7 years.
I looked at the newspaper from that area, two weeks ago. It said there was a record turn out, with over 100 people at the auction of 6 houses and they are expected another massive turn out for the next 6 houses next month.
Although these houses which are selling, are not an investment proposition, may be the revamp of this area is only going to have a positive influence on the current low property prices in and around this area.
Would love some feedback if anyone knows this area or has had some experience with bad areas maybe turning good??
