I seem to remember a thread about not being able to put a door on a residential room if it has no window, does the same apply for commercial?

Regulations could vary by state....you should check with your local council to make sure of the local regulations

In most cases it's more about ventilation & lighting than windows anyway (check your local supermarket - no windows!

Some commercial uses might require rooms with no windows, so I'm sure there are ways to get around any regulations in place.
