Fly screen for windows in bedroom

Hi SS gurus,

could you please let me know if, generally speaking, fly screen replacements for windows should be a landlord job or strata?

the original fly screens just dropped and my tenant didnt advise me until 3 months later
the actual fly screen has gone walkabouts

thank you

Flyscreens don't last forever, so unless you can show that the tenant deliberately damaged it then it is your responsibility.

Flyscreens aren't really the turnkey 'building" like bricks and the window. They are an added extra.

While you are replacing the flyscreen, check if the windows are about to fall out. In our townhouse I went to close a window and it wouldn't quite close. Upon closer inspection, the screws holding the frame into the building had rusted away and the whole frame was hanging loose. Building Inspector hadn't noticed it.
