Furniture Hire when selling property (Insurance)

Hi all

This is in this forum because its with regard to a "rejuv".

Anyone have any experience with this: the idea is that when the house goes on the market, it looks better furnished. I'd like to know the situation with insurance of the furniture? I hear that the insurers are unwilling to underwrite a policy if the house is unoccupied, or they need key locks on windows at the least. Has anyone dealt with this before? If so, I'd appreciate your experiences. Either email me direct, or post here.

Questions:
1) which insurance company is most favourable to insure with?
2) whats your opinion regarding furnishing the house?

Check with hire companies. They sometimes include insurance when you hire the furniture.
