Has anyone ever negotiated for property in estate?

I am currently looking at an estate property. The agent is dealing with lawyer & accountant and they would not budge in their asking price. Any tips on how to deal with estate property? Thanks

3 options;

Walk away
Leave your offer on the table for another 48 hours
Increase your offer

You can give them your comparables if you really want to depending on what gap you are talking about.

The unfortunate part about estate sales is the emotion is removed from the process. If the offer is above the valuation they sell, if not they dont accept.

Only option is to wait and see if they get any other offers over the next few weeks. If not, they may be prepared to lower their asking price.

I know this isnt much help to your current situation.

yeah I will leave it till end of this week and see how it goes. Meanwhile I will some research on SS on how to deal with estate sale :)

In a hot market where prices are going up then negotiation may not be possible. The Brisbane market is hot is some places and there are areas where discounts are possibleas the market has not picked up yet.
