How do i find out how long a house has been listed for sale?

Most of the paid for by subscription services like PDS pricefinder & RPData will tell you. Otherwise try: http://refindhouseprices.com/
And also: http://www.oldlistings.com.au/
And also: http://www.oldlistings.com.au/
On www.realestate.com you can arrange the search by "latest listing". This gives a rough idea by scrolling back through the listings arranged by date.
Be mindful that listing date can be misleading if the property went under contract that subsequently did not proceed as this will mean the property was off the market for 14-21 days or possibly longer.

Go and get yourself PDS live, whatever you do, don't trust the real estate agent.
Price finder looks interesting. Not ready to be paying for it every month yet tho. How does this one compare to RP Data?
