Insurance for contractors working on property?

Does liability insurance in Landlord Insurance usually cover you if something happens to a contractor working on your IP. E.g a tiler falls off the roof and breaks his neck - does it make any difference if it was his fault for being a clumsy oaf, or your fault for having missing tiles (which he is there to fix - catch 22...)

reputable contractors will be self-insured. You should check before employing them.
