IP feasibility website

Hi marmalade

Thanks for taking the time to try it out.

I will fix this in the next version (hopefully tomorrow).

Thanks

Hi all

I have just released a new version of PincPal.

New in this version:
  • iPad and Android tablet support (I don't have these devices, but have made best efforts to test. So would appreciate any feedback if you have an iPad or an Android tablet)
  • iPhone and other mobile device support
  • Simpler one-screen mode where you can change either property prices or the variables and see the results instantly
  • Bug fixes for a few errors (Thanks to devank, Dave, Jaggannath and marmalade)

Please try it out and let me know if there are any issues.

I am committed to keeping this tool free for forum members.

Thanks
Srini

It's working on iPad. I didn't understand the numbers.

I put 900k as the purchase price and 180k as the deposit and it changed the loan amount based on the stamp duty. So I have to figure out what the stamp duty cost is and add that to the deposit figure?

Having a few issues with advanced feature also ,when I change some numbers
getting error.
Site is great and getting easier to use despite the advanced error.

Hi RedCat,

Thanks for trying the site. Good to hear that it works ok on iPad.

Let me see if I understand what you mean.

Purchase Price = $900k
You enter deposit = $180k
It'll tell you that Loan amount is $776,870 (assuming VIC IP)

If you meant that the $900k already includes stamp duty, you can tick the Includes Stamp Duty box.

If my understanding is not correct, can you please explain what you are trying to do.

Thanks

Hi nww,

Thanks for trying it out and glad to hear that it's getting easier to use.

Are you able to send me a screen print of the error or describe it for me?

You can email me at sriniRvasan at gmail dot com

Thanks

Thanks for that. I've fixed this and will update it tonight when I get home.

Looks like this happens if you put empty spaces in any of the yearly costs.

Thanks nww

Hi Srini, great concept. I tried it first time tonight and when I entered the basic details and hit crunch numbers, I got an error message,
"httpError: The Http Transport returned a 0 status code, This is usually the result of mixing ajax and full requests. This is usually undesired, for both performance and data integrity reasons".

but when i clicked through, i got the results ok. :)

Hi Lawry,

Glad to hear that you find it useful.

I'm guessing that you are on a Mac? Safari on Mac does this for some reason and I haven't been able to fix it properly.

Can you please let me know which browser and Operating system you run?

Thanks

Nope, it was Google Chrome on Windows 7. When I use IE with Windows 7, I don't get the message, it works ok, cheers

it looks good apart from me not knowing how to use it properly
its saying it will take me 14 yrs to get CF+ but i dont see how it would take that long...?
